NDDY Course

Minimum qualification for admission:

NDDY (previous) first year

(A). Minimum qualification for admission to NDDY first year (i.e. previous) is senior secondary/intermediate or an equivalent examination (with biology as one of the subjects) conducted by a recognized education board/ university.

Or

(B). Candidates who have passed the intermediate examination or equivalent in humanities or science (mathematics) and those who have qualified the chikitsa sahayak examination can also be admitted to the NDDY (previous).they will be required to take general science paper as additional but compulsory paper.

(C) Candidates who is registered as registered medical practitioner’s recognized by state /central board in method of diagnosis system of medicine can also be required to take general science paper as an additional compulsory paper.

NDDY (intermediate-second year)

(A). NDDY (intermediate-second year) examination can be taken only after a candidate has qualified the NDDY (previous)

(B). Candidates who have passed an examination recognized by central or state government as regular student in MBBS,BAMS,BUMS, physiotherapy (degree course),BPED(degree course), B.Pharma and b.sc (nursing) courses, BHMS (4 year course), BDS (4year course) and BDS institutional course can seek admission to NDDY intermediate (IInd year)examination directly. They will, however, have to take an extra paper on “principles of nature cure ,mud therapy, natural environment, etc. prescribed for first year of N.D.D.Y. course. If they so choose, such candidates can at their on risk, fill up application form as per rules for next third year session of N.D.D.Y. even before announcement of result. however, permission to appear in third year will be granted only on passing the second year examination.

Or

(C) Candidates holding two or three year’s diploma in naturopathy and yoga from any institution will be given admission direct to IInd year provided they have been taught Biology and Physiology in the first year syllabus. Such candidates will have to give one year’s gap between second and third year examinations.

(D) Two year and three year diploma in naturopathy and yoga from any institution can be given admission to second yearof N.D.D.Y such candidate will also be allowed to appear in third year examination only after a gap of one year.

(E) Besides candidates, who were earlier given permission to appear directly in second year, candidates enjoying all other relaxations given before passing second year examination will be admitted to third year as per predefined time schedule.

NDDY (Final)-Third Year

This examination can be written by those who have qualified intermediate (second year) examination.
